A pretty conclusive victory as well - the battle droids were defeated: the kid brought down the droid control ship, somehow. The Naboo and the Gungans reached a peace, and Obi-Wan and his master between them defeates and captured a Sith warrior.

Obi-Wan has since been promoted to Jedi Knight - he rather suspects the Council were just waiting for an excuse not to send him through the normal trials - and his former master has moved on with his new Padawan.

In theory Obi-Wan has much to keep him busy with his new life as a fully fledged Jedi Knight, but somehow he still finds himself drawn to the prisoner, requesting a visit at the earliest opportunity. Of course, the council are questioning him separately, and professionally, but Obi-Wan is curious. And he tends to follow up on curiosity.
